What we collect
When you use our form, we collect: your business name and company type; your name, job title, email address and phone number; which services you want us to look at; your contract end date if you share it; and the bill or document you upload. A bill can include your address, account and meter numbers and usage.
We also receive basic technical information, such as your IP address, when you visit this website. The website itself sets only essential cookies and does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Our enquiry form is provided by our CRM supplier, HighLevel (LeadConnector). The form does not load until you choose to load it. Once you do, it uses a cookie and your browser’s local storage to run the form and to keep track of your session and your submission activity. Until you choose to load the form, none of that form storage is set. If you would rather not load it, you can email us at team@businessenergysolutions.co.uk instead.
Why we use it
To get you quotes: we use your details and bill to compare deals, contact you about them, and keep in touch about your renewal if you ask us to. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running the service you asked for, and, where it applies, taking steps at your request before a contract.
Who we share it with
We share your details and bill with our energy partner, who gathers quotes and options from suppliers for you, and with the energy and water suppliers you ask to hear from, so they can quote. We also use service providers such as website hosting and email, who handle data only on our instructions. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
If you do not go ahead, we keep your enquiry for 24 months so we can follow up on your renewal date, then delete it. If you become a customer of a supplier through us, we keep the records we need for 6 years for accounting and legal reasons.
Your rights
You can ask us to see the data we hold, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or move it to someone else. You can object to us using your data, and you can stop marketing messages at any time. Email team@businessenergysolutions.co.uk and we will reply within one month.
If you are not happy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
